City Hall in Doerun is staffed by City Clerk Merisha Hayes (Carelock) and Assistant City Clerk/Clerk of Court Sharon Walters. They are normally available Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 12 noon. While at City Hall, they prepare and collect monthly utility bills, prepare work orders and answer calls. They strive to make your experience with the City of Doerun an exceptional one.
Merisha Hayes (Carelock), as City Clerk, also takes minutes during the City Council meetings, issues business licenses for the city, handles payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all other city finances. Merisha has been employed with the city since 2016.
While, Sharon Walters, as Assistant Clerk/Clerk of Court, accepts accounts receivable, handles monthly reporting and citations for the Police Department, along with records and filing for the municipal court. Sharon Walters has been employed with the city since 2010.
