On Monday, December 1st, 2025, the Doerun City Council voted to appoint Police Chief Frank Pierce to serve in a dual role as the City Manager and Police Chief for the City of Doerun. He was awarded a one year contract that runs through 2026. He will receive a performance evaluation in the Fall of 2026 at which time the council will decide on extending his contract.
